We get it, it’s hard to know what to spend on book marketing! What’s a reasonable budget? How do your goals affect the kinds of firms you should be talking to and the quotes you should expect to get?
There’s no right or wrong answer really, instead, it’s more about recognizing what you need, versus what you want, how much you’re able to do on your own effectively, and how much you should really hand off to a professional – at least at the start, to get you established.
So we thought it was a good time to talk about the elephant in the room: How much should you expect to spend on your book promotion?
And the million-dollar question (pun intended): How much money does it take to make a best seller? You can probably expect our answer to this one, but who knows, we may surprise you!
Our goal for this episode is to discuss why having a budget is not only imperative but also empowering. Know your limits and find a firm that can work with them.
